DIY Homemade Aftershave for Father's Day (and every other day)
Homemade gifts show effort and love, so we’ve put together a quick video showing you how to make your own aftershave for dad this Father’s Day. We tried out the recipe from the Young Living blog (they give a few more options of good essential oils that would work well in this mix - we just used what we had).
Wishing all of you dads lots of love and appreciation for all that you do! I know Hannah is totally blessed in this department! And for those of you who might be having a rough time on this day… maybe you are wanting to be a dad, maybe your dad is no longer on this earth: we are thinking of you, and just showering you in virtual love!
Here’s what we used:
3 oz glass spray bottle
2 Tbs witch hazel
2 Tbs of carrier oil like Sweet Almond oil, or Grapeseed oil
1 Tbs Water (preferably distilled)
2 tsp vegetable glycerin
10 drops of your favourite essential oils
Put all the ingredients in a measuring cup, and mix it together with a milk frother, or an immersion blender, and pour it into the bottle. Label your bottle, spray and enjoy.
Remember to shake before each use. You can store it for a year.
